The window to enroll in 2023 Dairy Margin Coverage (DMC) and Supplemental Dairy Margin Coverage has officially closed as of Jan. 31. In total, 16,683, or 72.7%, dairy operations enrolled for DMC coverage this year. That’s down from the 17,966 operations who enrolled last year, but similar, percentage-wise, to the 72.9% enrollment number seen in 2022.
The top-ten states who saw the highest DMC enrollment numbers include:
