Holstein springer values were mostly steady this month, with Pipestone, Minn. once again posting the healthiest prices. Faltering milk markets and drought-induced jitters that could affect feed prices promise to make it an interesting summer for the dairy industry. For now, springers are holding their own and Holstein heifer calves actually posted healthy gains in value month-over-month in reporting markets.
