Four years in development, Cargill is rolling out its new MAX integrated nutrition program this spring to dairy producers nationwide.
The program integrates ration formulation, ingredient availability and analysis, inventory management and diet costs. The nutrition part of the program adds Cargill specific requirements for close-up and fresh heifers, and balances dairy rations based on new Cargill research on amino acid requirements.
It also offers “what if” analysis to compare four alternative diets for each base diet. The analysis projects not only costs of the various diets but milk production and returns as well.
