Forage, Silage Growers Invited to Enter World Ag Expo’s Forage Challenge

Up to $18,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded.

World Ag Expo’s Forage Challenge, presented by Mycogen Seeds, is seeking entries for the 2011 contest. The winners of the contest will be announced on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at World Ag Expo in Tulare, Calif.


This competition challenges farmers and ranchers to enter the bounty of their labor to see who produces the highest-quality forages in the West. This contest is an excellent chance to win cash prizes.

Deadline to enter is Dec. 10, 2010.

Up to $18,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded, sponsored by Lallemand Animal Nutrition, North America.

There are three categories to enter:
· Alfalfa hay
· Standard (non BMR) corn silage
· Brown mid-rib (BMR) corn silage

Prizes include:
· $3,000 for ?rst place in each of the three categories
· Up to $18,000 in total cash and prizes
· Plaque and Global recognition
