The 34th Minnesota Dairy Health Conference will be held from Wednesday May 6th to Friday May 8th, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel & Suites in Bloomington, MN.
This year, participants can choose from three full-day to half-day preconference seminars on May 6th: 1) better ways to engage your dairy farm employees to prevent procedural drift (Dr. Erskine, Michigan State University), 2) improving the foot health of your herd (Drs. Cramer, University of Minnesota and Cook, University of Wisconsin), or 3) to learn more about how to use your herds Dairy Comp 305 records to assess the reproductive performance of your herd (Dr. Chebel, University of Florida).
The main program of the conference is equally diverse over the next two days and covers topics such as leucosis, stockmanship, mastitis, residue avoidance and pain management. The keynote speaker is Dr. David Fraser (University of British Columbia, Canada) who is a worldwide leading expert for animal welfare.
The long running conference has been a steeple event for bovine veterinarians, dairy producers and industry representatives, where they can learn more about the latest applied research from national and international experts. Furthermore, the trade show provides wonderful insight into the latest veterinary dairy health management tools.
