The Bremer family of Hastings, Minn., welcomed Vikings running back Toby Gerhart to their dairy farm on Dec. 17 for a visit.

Bremer Farms won the dairy checkoff’s 2013 "Show Your Pride"  photo contest that encouraged producers to submit images showing their support of the checkoff’s partnership with the NFL and the Fuel Up to Play 60 school program.

Gerhart toured the dairy, fed calves and gained a deeper understanding about the importance of the dairy industry. Gerhart’s visit and positive experiences on the farm were shared through local media coverage.

So who among the Vikings would feel the most at home on a dairy farm? Gerhart named lineback Chad Greenway and defensive end Jared Allen. "The worst? Let’s go with [Christian] Ponder. I don’t know if I see Ponder getting his hands dirty. He’s a quarterback. He’d try to be pretty or something," says Gerhart.
