National Dairy Shrine Membership Challenge

To celebrate 60 years of National Dairy Shrine, the organization’s board of directors is issuing a new member challenge — Sell 6 for the 60th. The board of directors is encouraging all members to sign 6 new members to celebrate National Dairy Shrine’s 60th Birthday, one for each decade of the organization’s existence. Those selling 6 or more memberships will earn the opportunity to receive one free membership to give to any person. The contest runs through World Dairy Expo and concludes on October 5 which is the anniversary of the first annual meeting.

In the years since its founding in 1949, the organization has grown to have its own museum and now awards over $31,000 in scholarships each year. If those early founders could come back and see the organization today, they would be quite pleased to see that the vibrant organization has some 18,000 members from across the U.S. and Canada.

All National Dairy Shrine members are encouraged to participate in Sell 6 for the 60th. Membership is the lifeblood of any organization. And for National Dairy Shrine, which relies on volunteers to carry out its mission of preserving dairy history, honoring industry leaders, and encouraging future leaders, every $50 membership helps fund the organization’s scholarship programs.

To obtain membership brochures, contact Dr. David Selner, Executive Director, P.O. Box 1, Maribel, WI 54227, call (920) 863-6333, e-mail info@dairyshrine.org, or go to www.dairyshrine.org for more details. Or, better yet, to become a member, call National Dairy Shrine today.
