This comprehensive 48-page manual is the nation’s most popular reference on FDA-approved drugs and screening tests. It reviews drugs from 27 companies and test kits from six manufacturers. Also included in the manual is a record-keeping system for drug use, addresses of state milk regulatory agencies and the “10 Critical Control Points” for keeping antibiotics out of milk and dairy beef.

Milk and Dairy Beef Residue Prevention Protocol is popular with veterinarians, milk companies and milk and dairy beef producers. More than 95,000 copies have been distributed as part of America’s Dairy Quality Assurance Program.

Kevin Anderson, DVM, of North Carolina State University chaired a meeting of more than 25 veterinarians, government officials, drug manufacturers and dairy producers to review and update the manual.
