Harvue Roy Frosty, a six-year-old Holstein cow from Rudolph, Wis., was crowned Supreme Champion of World Dairy Expo 2010.
Sired by Roylane Jordan-ET, she was exhibited by Mike and Julie Duckett, Jim and Nancy Junemann and Scott Armbrust of Rudolph, Wis. Currently classified EX-95, Frosty was bred by Dave and Debra Hardesty of Berryville, Va. At 5-07 305d she produced 40,725M 5.0% 2,030 2.8% 1138P.
The Supreme Champion was presented the Gregory Blaska Memorial Trophy; courtesy of World Dairy Expo, Inc. Blaska was a World Dairy Expo pioneer and served 31 years as the president of the Expo Board of Directors. She was also presented a $1,500 check, courtesy of BouMatic and a royal blanket courtesy of Agpro, Inc.
Frosty was the 2007 All-American Senior 3-Year-Old, was Intermediate and Reserve Grand Champion and 1st Senior 3-Year-Old of the 2007 International Holstein Show and was nominated All-American Senior 2-Year-Old in 2006. A daughter of Harvue Sam Heidi (EX-93), Frosty completes six generations of Very Good and Excellent cows.
Canadian Red & White is Reserve Supreme Champion
Reserve Supreme Champion of the show was Blondin Redman Seisme. The four-year-old, sired by Valley River Ruben Redman, was bred by Pierre Boulet and Ferme Blondin. She was exhibited by Morsan Farms, Ltd., of Ponoka, Alberta, Canada.
The Reserve Supreme Champion was presented with a $1000 cash award, compliments of Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. and a velvet blanket, presented by Nu-Pulse. Director Chairs were awarded to the Supreme and Reserve Supreme Champions by Royal Brand Embroidery.
Each of the candidates for Supreme Champion was presented a velvet banner compliments of Arethusa Farms.
