Chris Galen is the Senior Vice President of Communications for the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) in Arlington, VA. Since 1997, Galen has helped develop and disseminate NMPF’s communications on issues as diverse as economic policy, environmental, food safety and animal health regulations, and international trade. He edits NMPF’s publications, oversees the content of its website, and serves as spokesman for the group with the news media and the public. Prior to working at NMPF, Galen worked for two members of Congress, the White House, and another food industry trade association. He also worked as a television anchor and reporter in his native Midwest. Chris attended college at the University of Nebraska, where he majored in journalism. He has a wife and kids. Dustin received his Bachelors Degree from Western Michigan University Haworth College of Business where his studies targeted the financial markets. Dustin has extensive experience helping agricultural producers with their price risk management. Dustin works with a wide net of large producers throughout the Midwest. His analytical market approach and objective hedge strategy development is specific to the needs of every individual. In addition to agricultural hedging, Dustin has a thorough understanding of foreign currency markets and international trade. He believes high ethical standards and excellent customer service are the foundation of successful long term broker/client relationships.

Ron was educated as a mathematics teacher, trained as a land use economist and has been involved with trading futures for more than 20 years. His professional designations include: MAI, CMT. Ron now keeps one finger in real estate, three fingers in trading and has allowed one finger to retire.

Doug and Nancy Rupp operates D & N Rupp Farms in Stryker, Ohio. The Rupps are progressive farm family operators who use marketing strategies, technology and teamwork to attain the on-going success of their farming enterprise. Nancy was a teacher and guidance counselor for 39 years, and continues to work in the Pettisville, Ohio, school system part-time. In addition, she manages the farm finances. Nancy and Doug are one of the case studies in Farm Journal Media’s Ultimate Farm Quest. I am a farmer in Southeastern Indiana, and have recently graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a degree in business and about ready to finish my MBA in finance.

Dan Goehl, DVM, and his wife own and operate Canton Veterinary Clinic in Canton, MO, where Dan works primarily with stocker and cow/calf beef operations. Dan is also partner in Professional Beef Services, LLC, which offers herd consultation and helps in data management and marketing of beef cattle.

Noelle Taylor grew up in a small town in Iowa. She is now living in Metro Denver with her husband and 6 children. She works part time as a postpartum doula and full time as a homemaker. She has been a member of a CSA since 2006.
