Doug and Nancy Rupp operates D & N Rupp Farms in Stryker, Ohio. The Rupps are progressive farm family operators who use marketing strategies, technology and teamwork to attain the on-going success of their farming enterprise. Nancy was a teacher and guidance counselor for 39 years, and continues to work in the Pettisville, Ohio, school system part-time. In addition, she manages the farm finances. From a bright, sunny day in July to a cold, snowy day in January, Thomas Zerebny has always been fascinated by the ever-changing weather conditions across the world. In 2008, he graduated from Northern Illinois University with a B.S. in Geography. His first summer out of college was spent in the beautiful interior of Alaska working as a soil scientist for the Salcha-Delta Soil and Water Conservation District. He is currently employed by Crop-Tech Consulting, Inc., where he’s able to blend his passions for both soil and meteorology. Although his career in soil keeps him “grounded,” Thomas continues to keep an eye to the sky as a licensed amateur radio operator with the McLean County Amateur Radio Emergency Service. When he’s not working, you can usually find this avid angler on the water searching for the next big catch.

Kip Cullers is known for his bin-busting soybean yields. The Purdy, Mo., farmer is traveling with Farm Journal Field Agronomist Ken Ferrie and Farm Journal Machinery Editor Margy Fischer to Brazil to learn more about the country’s soybean production.
