Bigger capacity, higher speeds and enhanced versatility define a collection of new products and upgrades for the livestock and dairy sectors introduced this week by New Holland.
At the heart of the manufacturer’s new lineup is the Roll-Belt 560 5’x6’ round baler, which aims to boost capacity by 20% with its 82" five-bar ActiveSweep pickup option. The baler is also available with a 60" six-bar SuperSweep pickup.

Paired with the company’s Bale-Slice system, the Roll-Belt can increase bale density by 14%. That, in turn, can contribute to improved average daily weight gain in yearling heifers and higher overall production rates, New Holland says.
Other features of the baler include:
- Multiple monitor options, such as the Bale Command II/Bale Command II Plus
- Three belt options, such as Premium laced belts for improved tensile strength and endless belts for maximum consistency
- Specialty Crop option handles high-volume cornstalks, straw and big windrows of sudan and other heavy grasses
The manufacturer also has introduced dealers to six other new products and upgrades for the hay and forage market: two center-pivot models of the Discbine disc mower-conditioner; Speedrower self-propelled windrowers with integrated IntelliSteer auto-guidance and hydraulic system on Prairie Special and draper-ready equipped Speedrower Series; DuraSwath draper headers with up to 40’ working widths; two models of T5 Series tractors available with Electro Command semi-powershift transmission; and two four-cylinder models of T6 Series tractors available with continuously variable transmission.
