Dairy producers should expect some impact from the Russian invasion of Ukraine as well

Mike North of Ever.ag says dairy producers will be directly impacted when it comes to feed prices, especially corn.

Combined, Russia and Ukraine account for a third of total corn and cereal grain exports.

North says that delays, disruptions and discontinuations of exports from those regions will force buyers to look for alternative sources.

He says that will put a significant premium on crop values which in turn will elevate feed costs and longterm support for milk prices.

Mayor Clinic

The Mayo Clinic and Dairy Checkoff are partnering to help advance dairy research.

They’ve teamed up to explore consumer outreach efforts and conduct research to improve public health and advance people’s knowledge about the benefits of dairy. Specifically, they will research to discover how dairy, particularly whole milk, impacts cardiovascular health along with dairy’s role in sleep, digestive health and immunity.

In addition both groups will help debunk dairy myths and help people maintain confidence in dairy foods, farms and businesses.
