As the dairy industry continues to embrace new technologies, the 2021 Precision Dairy Conference promises to be an engaging source of new information and collaboration.
The conference is slated for June 22-23, 2021, at the Hyatt Regency near the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn. It is being organized by Drs. Marcia Endres, Brad Heins and Jim Salfer, all with the University of Minnesota.
This year’s event promises to be a “neutral space” in which many technologies will come together to be discussed and explored. There will be 30 minutes of live audience discussion during each 90-minute session.
To comply with COVID restrictions, physical attendance space will be limited, but a virtual option will be offered. Recordings of all presentations will be available for later viewing by all registered participants.
Featured topics will include:
- Automated TMR feeding
- Robotic milking
- Nutrition for automated herds
- Data-based veterinary care
- Data integration
A series of graduate student research reports also will be presented. The conference will conclude with a look at future dairy technologies coming down the pike.
Dairy producers, consultants, veterinarians, commercial representatives, and researchers are encouraged to attend, and all these industry roles will be represented in the conference speaker line-up.
