A Look Back at World Dairy Expo 2015

Cows were showed. Champions were crowned. Grilled cheese sandwiches were eaten. Memories were made. World Dairy Expo has passed.

It will be 365 days until cows are walking across the colored shavings in Madison, Wisc. While waiting for Oct. 4, 2016 to hit the calendar here is a look back at the show through the smart phone camera lens of some of this year's participants:

Had the tremendous opportunity to represent the Jersey breed on the colored shavings this year at World Dairy Expo. These animals are the best of the best and were crowned Grand and Reserve Grand of the Jersey show. Not only do these ladies look great in the show ring, but Jerseys have the highest protein and fat components of all the dairy breeds, giving consumers a richer tasting milk. They are also the smallest dairy breed, making them environmentally friendly due to their reduced feed and water consumption. No matter how you look at it, the little brown cow has a huge impact on the dairy industry! #CAO15 #WDE15
